Pirates Beach Lightning Storm

Fifteen minutes
of lightning

At about 4 p.m., a strong lightning storm passed just west of Pirates Beach. These photographs capture only some of the strikes seen during a roughly 15-minute period.

Although the bolts appear to hit the house next door, they are actually striking the ocean a few hundreds yards away.
